This graphite portrait of Sandra was inspired by a photograph she shared while attending a cooking class.
What immediately attracted me was the warmth and genuine happiness in her expression. As a children's art teacher who loves working with young people, Sandra has a joyful, caring personality that seems to shine through her smile.
Through careful attention to light, shadow, and subtle tonal transitions, I wanted to capture not only her likeness, but the warmth and character that make her so engaging.
Sometimes a single expression can reveal so much about a person.
